Shot at Dirty Blonde in Brighton.
On Monday, I was photographing Will Young at the Brighton Centre! I always love working at this venue – great lighting, huge stage and helpful security staff. This time I seemed to be the only photographer, and the whole show was seated so I could run all over the place. Will Young put on a great performance, showcasing his new album 85% Proof. He’s touring the UK for the whole of November, so check out a show!
Check out The Guardian review of the gig which a few of my photos accompany.
This was something slightly different! Anja got in touch with me about doing some photos with her family and friends after her graduation ceremony. I’d never photographed a graduation before, and Anja didn’t have anything specific in mind; she just wanted some nice photos to remember the day by. Her parents had traveled over from Germany so it was a really special day for Anja. We spent an hour doing a mix of formal shots and more casual and fun poses, before they headed off to celebrate with a meal and some wine!
I only had a few hours to get home, edit the photos and send them over to Anja since I was leaving for a two-week roadtrip around Europe the following day. I was so pleased when she sent me a nice email saying how she liked the photos: “Rach they’re fantastic! I had a proper look. My parents got the chance too because you sent them so supersonicly fast 😀 We were super impressed, I mean seriously, you’ve got an eye for beautiful shots. I can’t believe how many nice pictures came out at the end, that was definitely money well spent. My parents agreed too 🙂 The whole day was overwhelming and I’m still not fully wound down, thanks for being part of it and helping to make Tuesday such a brilliant day!”
Anyway, here are some of the photographs 🙂
